Today is the eldest bro's birthday. As usual i dont noe why but i'm sorta in charge of getting all the stuff and cake and things like that. I was out with my mom to get satay form geylang, but guess what the shop was closed. Agh, we couldnt buy a cake from bengawan then because it would melt by the time we reach elsewhere to get satay. So we headed to Kallang Basin which is near our house (sort of), empty-handed (we didnt buy anything from geylang). When we were there, guess what, the damn satay shop was also closed! I got a bit pissed actually. Then we walked around to see if there is any nice cake shops around, but no..... All the cakes shops didnt really have nice, good-looking cakes. We got rather turned off. So then, i made the all-time executive Aisy~decision. Told my mom, "Lets get cake from Royals at TAMPINES". Gosh, we headed ALL THE WAY to tampines. I messaged about 3 people just to confirm that there is Royals cake at tampines. Paranoia, i know. Instead of getting a huge cake, we got 3 cake bars (all different in flavours). The mom and i went over to qiji to get some popiah and soon kueh after that, and i got myself a pair of slippers from BHG (but man, i have to go back and exchange for a different size, crap). By the way, we didnt get our satay for the bro. Just got home, made some bananas-dipped in chocolate and rolled in almaonds, and ate my popiah. My mom prepared some mee-goreng .We had to wait for the dad to come home, so we could celebrate as a family. But then guess what, the bro got a call from work, and he had to fill in for his friend. Supposedly, the bro took a day off, but then duty calls, so he had to rush over to bedok police station. Haiz, in the end we had to postpone the celebration. And yeah everyone got kinda cranky after that. Oh well.s
